The girls from Capilia by Caralyn’s took a road trip to the ABA hair show in Toronto to endulge in the newest products, styles and trends! The girls enjoyed some tips from Tabatha ( TLC’S Tabatha’s Salon Takeover) and Nick Arojo ( Formerly the stylist on TLC what not to wear, and own his own prestige salon in NEW YORK CITY!)

Great weekend overall!    

Karen and Michelle went to Toronto this weekend to Spend the day with Nick Arrojo’s top stylist and learn razor cutting tequniques!

Jenn Rock ( our Artistic Director) participated in her 4th year walking the 60 km walk to end women’s cancers, and of course pulled another along with her Genevieve Dowling ( our marketing manager) to participate in her 1st walk.

The girls walked through sun, heat and rain and accomplished another wonderful weekend raising $4500 towards the 1.8 million dollars raised by Ottawa women ! ( Capilia by Caralyn was our top sponsor)

Thank you to everyone who came to see us at the Ottawa National Women’s Show and helped us raise money for women’s cancer research!

We share a booth with the Breast Cancer Network and kicked off the “LOCKS FOR COURAGE” campaign selling pink extension highlights for $20, $12 going toward women’s cancers.

Thanks for the support Ottawa! Come into our centre during the month of may for a highlight and keep the support going !

The team from Capilia by Caralyn attended the Night at the Races All proceeds  went to  to fund scholarships for the training of the future scientists receiving post-graduate research training in women’s health, in particular, ovarian cancer research at the University of Ottawa.
