Cancer and Hair Loss

Anagen Effluviuma is the loss of hair caused by chemicals or radiation. The most common occurrence is from certain types of chemotherapy or radiation that is given in the treatment of cancer. Amsacrine, Cisplatinum, Cytosine Arabinoside, Cyclophosphamide Cytoxin, Cyclophosphamide Cytoxin, Epirubici, Ifosfamide, Vincristine Oncovin. The following drugs are less likely to cause hair loss: Actinomycin, Bleomycins, Daunorubicin, Methotrexate, Carboplatin, Mitomycine C, Vinblastine.
